Massage encompasses a spectrum of styles, from light-touch or Swedish to improve circulation and lymphatic drainage to deeper tissue techniques such as Thai or Myofascial/Active Release Technique (ART) used to break-up muscular adhesions and scar tissue and reduce muscular tension from injuries. Trigger point and pressure point massage helps reduce tension, acute spasms and pain. Our doctors will often recommend specific massage treatments to support and expedite healing. If prescribed by your chiropractor therapeutic massage is often a covered service of many insurance companies.
